The beach of the Aiguillon

Being situated in the east of Arcachon, the beach of Aiguillon is a magnificent site which displays calm and tranquility. Decorated with wonderful, well-preserved and authentic greenery, this tourist place is the ideal place to appreciate the moments of relaxation with families, friends or with your loved one. It is known by regular visitors and locals, however, it is less crowded compared to the central beach.

The site extends 400 m to the right of the port of Arcachon. It is greatly appreciated because it is less invaded even during the summer seasons. Established to the east in the direction of La Teste-de-Buch in Arcachon, the beach of l'Aiguillon offers a beautiful view at the tip of the Aiguillon. During a visit to the site, you can feel the harmony between nature and the sea.

The area of ​​the most frequented beach is close to the marina of Arcachon. Take a walk along the Pointe d'Aiguillon whenever you want, there  you will see the old fishing huts which adds a touch of color to the surrounding areas. There is a small parking that is found at boulevard Pierre Loti which is difficult to park during the summer.

The beach of Aiguillon marks the entry in the department of La Vendée. It is located close to the nature reserve of the Baie de l'Aiguillon which is one of the sites of the Marais Poitevin. During your visit to Arcachon, do not hesitate to go to the port, which stretches along the estuary of the Lay, whose mooring is built on wooden booms. You can also participate in trade by purchasing fish and oysters freshly caught and of good quality. The beach in the city center is a beautiful tourist place decorated by chic and friendly restaurants where you can savour a drink!
